Budget and Finances
The Finance Department oversees the planning and completion of the Village Budget for each fiscal year (May 1 – April 30). The annual budget is a financial tool used to:
- Identify and allocate resources amount Village departments and programs, reflecting the Village President, Village Board and community priorities;
- Provide a framework to monitor and control expenditures so they do not exceed available resources; and
- Evaluate how the Village performed compared to the previous year
The completion of the annual budget is due to the collective efforts of the Village President, Village Board, Village Administrator and all Village department heads, along with input from the community at large. Any comments or questions regarding the budget should be directed to the Finance Director.
