Outdoor Warning Sirens

The outdoor warning sirens are owned and maintained by Exelon Corporation as part of its emergency preparedness obligations related to the nuclear generation stations.  Testing is on the first Tuesday of every month at 10:00 AM. While Exelon is not required to do so, they have allowed for the use of their system by area counties for other emergency situations, such as weather. This is a tremendous cost savings for counties.

When you hear sirens sound in your community, tune to your local Emergency Alert System (EAS) station for further information.
